Great Grinder (especially for a new user such as myself)
In the interests of disclosure let me first say that I've never owned a grinder before so I can't compare this grinder to others on the market. However, as a first time buyer I was looking for a couple of things such as: easy to put together, ease of use, and of course, great tasting coffee. I am happy to say that this grinder satisfies all of the above. There is basically no assembly required which is great for someone like me who is a bit of a moron when it comes to putting appliances together. I had made my first cup of coffee about 10 minutes after removing the grinder from the box. Some other messages have stated that the coffee holder can be messsy as related to the static electricity problem. Nothing is perfect and though I occasionally have to clean up my kitchen counter a bit I find that if I am careful there is no problem at all. So maybe one of these days I will upgrade to one of those expensive burr grinders, but for now this product is awesome

Breville BCG450XL Conical Burr Grinder
This is my first c/b grinder and was skeptical if it was really necessary. I chose it based on web reviews, not personal feedback. Primarily it is used for drip (8cup) and espresso. Without additional exp. w/ other c/b grinders, i find this product is very acceptable for the amateur barista. Easy to assemble, beans have not jammed, consistent grind, less noisy than my old blade type, minor static cling and, most importantly, coffee tastes much better. I'll never go back to blade style.

Great price Great grinder
I am very pleased with this burr grinder. I had actually ordered a different machine priced over $300.00 just a week before this one, and canceled the order after reading all the reviews on this one (for 1/3 the price). It stands up to all the positive reviews and quit honestly I am not sure what the more expensive grinder could do other then cost me more money. True it does collect coffee in the shoot, true it does create some static after fresh grinding, but it's quiet, efficient, and does a great job. Not sure what the fuss with the timer is, I just grind it for 30 seconds and get more if I need it. I have a baby asleep in the next room when I grind my coffee and it has not caused any problems with the "noise". Hands down it's a great burr grinder for a great price.

Easy to use and much better than pre-ground coffee
No more pre ground coffee for me! Add this simple step of grinding your own beans and enjoy a better cup of coffee. The taste is better and there is no bitterness as you may get with ground coffee off the shelf.

It is really easy to set this next to my Technivorm coffee maker and press the timed grind button while I fill the pot with water. It takes about 15 seconds for the beans to grind to my settings and then just dump them right in the filter. The hopper stores about 1 weeks worth of beans in the sealed container on top.

I think it actually saves time from having to retrieve/open/dispense/close/put away the pre ground stuff!

This product gets 2 thumbs up.

Not worth the money
I'm coffee nut, this is my worst coffee grinder, messy, poor design, and way too much money.
