Black & Decker DCM2500B SmartBrew Coffeemaker

This is a great item. I can set the timer for when I want and it will be ready when I need it. No loud noises from the coffee maker. It will reheat the coffee too with no problems. A must buy!

I had the Smartbrew coffee maker for 4 or 5 years before it wore out. I wanted another one JUST LIKE IT!! It truly is a dripless spout!! I have had many coffee makers over the years, but this one is truly the best if you don't want coofee dripping every time you try to pour. I was tempted to buy TWO, so I would have an extra one on hand if and when needed.

I bought 2 other coffee makers before finding this one. The first one was a Mr. Coffee but I didn't care for the sporadic drip system. The other one was actually a very similar Black & Decker, but I didn't like the taste of the coffee that came out, so I bought this one and have loved it ever since.

The coffee maker doesn't drip or leak, the brewed coffee tastes good and the temperature is about perfect. The programming makes it simple to wake up to a fresh pot of coffee. Overall, the machine is well built, I really can't complain.

The only problem I had was the handle on the pot was loose. I tightened it with a screwdriver, all set!

I think this was rated a best buy by one of the consumer magazines, I definitely agree! For the price, you won't find a better one.

I have this coffeemaker and like it for all the reasons already stated. My complaint about B&D is that two coffeemakers ago...I had a B&D with heat settings for the warmer plate and also settings for the auto-off. I've not been able to find another one with those features. And although I do use CR when making purchases, last time I looked at their reviews for coffeemakers, I was disappointed. Basically said: it's a coffeemaker; they all work the same. I don't really agree with that. If they were all the same, coffee would taste the same in each, and it doesn't!!

I've had this model coffee maker for years. For the price, under $30, I get years of use and good coffee. I like the timer and the auto shutoff, the clear windows on the side, how easy it is to pour water into it (so many coffee makers are such a pain to pour water into!), and what someone called the 'sneak a cup' feature. I know it's an inexpensive coffeemaker, but this coffee addict is sticking with it.

The one I'm replacing still works but the auto shut-off feature is on the blink. After using it for about 4-5 years, I'm going to retire it to being the back-up coffeemaker, and get a new one. If memory serves, the one one I had before this one was the same model, but in white. I had replaced my white one because it's a lot easier to clean a black coffeemaker than a white one. :-)
