Zach & Dani's Gourmet Coffee Roaster

I have been roasting coffee for 5 years or so using an air popcorn popper. My popper finally quit working so I decided to try this Zach and Dani's roaster. I'm impressed with the quality of this roaster, and very impressed with it's performance. My first roast was an absolute success. I set the roaster for 30 minutes and stopped the roast at the beginning of the second crack. The roast is a bit long but I think it imparts a mellow well blended flavor to the coffee with no overpowering flavor notes that are often present with a quickly roasted coffee. The machine is quiet and solid. Very easy to use. For the price you can't go wrong. The unit is excellent for the beginner and includes 3 pounds of quality beans to practice with and an excellent videotape which will help you get started. For the advanced roaster, there is plenty of control over the unit to tailor the roast to your liking.
