Works great at a great price
This turned out to be a lot better kettle than i expected. i've been using a bodum kettle and this on is alot nicer, boils water fast... Highly recommended for the price... 2008-10-24

Perfect for college
I bought this kettle as a means to cook food such as ramen noodles in my dorm room. It works perfectly. It takes less than a minute to heat up, and less than 2 to boil, however I've found I always shut it off before it shuts itself off. The only time I have had trouble shutting the top is when it has just boiled water, and there is not plastic taste that others claim to have.
I would definitely recommend this for any college student.

Boils water quickly, just be careful pouring
I've had one for a year and am very satisified with it. Just be careful pouring: if you tip the kettle too much, the water drips out the sides of the lid and you may be scalded. 2008-10-16

Fast and Easy
The water level indicator is easy to read. The on/off switch is easy to set, and lights when it's on. The automatic shut-off is a great feature. The kettle is sturdy, and has a proper size cord. I use a measuring cup to fill it right at the spout without even opening the lid. Great for tea and instant soups. 2008-10-15

Proctor Silex K2070 1-Quart Automatic Electric Kettle
I use this appliance to boil water for coffee and soup, and I'm always amazed at how fast it does the job - perhaps a minute or less to boil the kettle contents.
It's elegant, pours well, and takes up very little counter space. The supplied lead is only 2 ft and is way to short to leave plugged in when you are pouring water, but I replaced it with a standard computer lead that's plenty long enough.
Nice product, inexpensive, and it works well.
