Mr. Coffee BMX3 Burr Mill

Like others, I bought this and after 6 months it died.

worked great. But, you get what you pay for. It quit working after a few months. I guess Mr. Coffee still goes with the time honored tradition of planned obsolescense. Now I remember why I won't buy their products. Buyer BEWARE!

Not the most consistent grind but good enough for the price. Stopped working after 4 months which I think is an issue with the start button.
Had registered it online, emailed customer service regarding my problem along with the date code and 24hrs later had an email stating that I would have a new one in 2-3 weeks.

The grinder worked great through about 30 or so grinds. Then it died. It appears to have a design problem where one of the "don't let the grinder grind when something isn't closed" switches fails to correctly close when the unit is made ready to grind.

End result. It stops grinding. Fixing would require disassembling the entire unit to figure out where the electrical problem exists.

Don't waste your money. Get a different brand.

Our Mr. Coffee burr grinder has seemingly croaked on us twice; both times it turned out to be the same design defect. Somehow ground coffee gets under the "start" switch on top. The first time, I kept pressing on it, then pressed harder and felt the bit of coffee bean crunch; then the switch could make contact. This time, after trying this and that, I pressed the two switches alternately for a while and it started. I then used some computer duster to try and blow it out; I don't know if that helped, but will find out. Maybe I will try vacuuming it sometime. There is no obvious way to get at the switches; I suspect the covers are glued on. From the sounds of other reviews I could spend significantly more money and still have the same problem or worse, so I will stick with this until it *really* croaks.
