Bodum 34-Ounce Coffee Press Replacement Beaker, Glass

This replacement beaker fit perfectly into my Starbucks French Press holder-I'm very pleased with the item

SInce we manage to ding these on the sink, we purchase them in 3's. Love having the ability to replace the carafe as opposed to an entire system.

Wish I had taken the time to read the other customer reviews. Boy was I surprised when my "4 cup" Bodum French press carafe arrived as a dinky 2 cup, but technically it's a "3 cup". HA! I HAD TO REORDER--the really annoying thing is, I could have purchased a new one locally AND PAID LESS for the replacement after incurring 2 shipping fees+return shipping fee. So much for saving a few bucks. Lesson learned. A "cup" is not always a "cup".

Replacement Beaker has thicker walls resulting in snugger fit of the mesh filter and better heat retention, and of course better durability!!! The glass itself is also different, this one has a yellow/green hue comparing to the green of the original.

This beaker was the first replacement that I bought. I found that the replacement is a bit thicker and more durable than the original, and the price is not too unreasonable.

What I REALLY wish is that Bodum would sell the unbreakable polycarbonate replacement beakers rather than requiring you to buy a whole new press. It would make them less money, but life would certainly be easier for the consumer.
