Sigh...
Heaven in a cup. It must be experienced. And in general, I'm no fan of tea.

Wonderful smelling and tasting black tea
Twinings was founded in London, England in 1706, and has a long and respected tradition of producing only the finest of teas. Earl Grey tea was named after Charles Grey, Second Earl Grey (1764-1845), and is a mixture of black tea and oil of bergamot (a small acidic orange). It is said that Earl Grey learned the recipe of this delicious tea from a Chinese Mandarin and brought it home to England, where it has been a favorite ever since.

OK, let's get down to brass tacks - this is a great tea, produced by a great company, and is my all-time favorite. The tea produced has a wonderful aroma, and an excellent taste. But, a couple of words of warning - don't over-steep the tea, or it will quickly become bitter and unpalatable. Also, while sugar goes well with this tea, I have found that milk dilutes the bergamot too much, and lemon completely hides the bergamot which is the reason for drinking it!

That's my review. If you want a wonderful smelling and tasting black tea, then Earl Grey is for you. If you want tea from a great tea producer, them Twinings is for you. If you want a nectareous drink, then buy Twinings' Earl Grey tea!

EXCELLENT TEA
Very tasty tea, I like loose tea and it's harder to find these days. This tea tastes very good and is a good value.

All the Way with Amazon's Earl Grey!
This is a great tea at an excellent price. Each tin is vacuum sealed. I don't have the ability to use up a lot of tea quickly so once the vacuum seal is broken, I stored the unused tea in plastic sealed bags.

More of a black tea than an Earl Grey
As readily available tea brands go, I prefer Bigelow's Earl Grey to Twinings' version but I had only tried the tea bags so I took a chance on the loose tea based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, the tea was just as meh as I remembered. I actually prefer regular black tea such as PG tips to this Earl Grey.

I am going to use up the loose tea one tablespoon at a time in a 1-quart Ball canning jar for sweet tea (1/4 to 1/3 cup of white sugar and a mint sprig).
